Over prescription of Antibiotics for kid’s respiratory tract infections is observed



Antibiotic is a drug that kills bacteria or stop them from reproducing are effective only for bacterial infection (not viruses).


According to recent study Antibiotics are over prescribed drug amongst children for respiratory, ear, throat infections. Only a rapid strep test available to distinguish between bacterial or viral throat infections. No more clinical tools currently available.
