Glaucoma advances silently leading towards blindness

The eye maintains a constant pressure by continuously producing fluid. While an equal amount of the fluid drains out of the eye through trabecular meshwork. If the trabecular meshwork is blocked the trabecular meshwork the pressure builds in the eye leading to develop Glaucoma. Glaucoma is an eye disorder which dashes the eye and steals the vision and leads to blindness. Glaucoma is a silent thief!!
Month of January is observed as glaucoma Awareness month. Risk of glaucoma increases as age progresses and one with strong family history.

Best prevention against the attack of glaucoma is early diagnosis. Early diagnosis prevents eye from early damage. There is no cure for that but the pressure which is built in the eye can be lowered with the help of medicines.

Top super food to prevent glaucoma...
Spinach: Green leafy vegetables are rich in lutien!! Protects cells from damage hence prevents macular degeneration.

Berries: They're great for lowering both inflammation and blood pressure. Help prevent blockages to the arteries that feed oxygen to the retina.

Tea: Teas may help prevent macular degeneration, too, by preventing the growth of new blood vessels in the back of the eye.

Soy: soy is rich in isoflavones, compounds with powerful antioxidant properties that protect against cataract. Isoflavones also may help restore tear production that's been reduced by dry eye syndrome.

Papaya: papaya is rich in zeaxanthin and lutein protect against cataract and glaucoma.
