Pre Eclampsia during Pregnancy Increases Autism Risk in Child



Pre Eclampsia during pregnancy that is characterized by protein in urine and hypertension is quite common after 20 weeks of gestation until 6 weeks after delivery. 



Now, a new research suggests that the risk of Autism doubles if they are born to mothers having pre- eclampsia.

Pre eclampsia is a condition that can happen even before 20 week of gestation. It is usually seen in first pregnancy. Twin pregnancy, obesity, Hypertension, having kidney diseases can put the lady into a trouble for having this state. 

A check for pre eclampsia becomes mandatory for a total pregnancy care

In the study conducted, all the children who were found Autistic had a history of their mothers having pre eclampsia.

Furthermore research in this aspect is required for a hundred percent relation between these two conditions.
