How To Handle Diabetes In Children

Juvenile Diabetes or Type 1 Diabetes is an Immune disorder where the pancreas does not produce enough Insulin which is why there is increase in the Blood Sugar levels. Do not blame the child for it is not related to Obesity, over eating or Sedentary Lifestyle

Every year there are 13,000 cases, 1 child every minute affected with this disorder.

For parents whose kids are diagnosed with the ailment it is painful to accept the fact that their child would not be able to live a normal life. It is true that the child is put on life time medications throughout.

The following ways would help you to understand your child and manage Diabetes.

  • Administer Insulin regularly without fail. People around the child like Friends, Family and Teachers at School should be informed about the condition so that any mishap could be handled with utmost care
  • From Childhood itself, train the Child on having nutritious and hygienic food only. It is only when a child tastes junk that the child longs for it. Entertain the child to have more of vegetables, baked and grilled over having fried or sodas
  • Examine Blood Glucose levels frequently
  • Indulge in physical activity: maybe you could participate in an indoor or outdoor sport with your child to keep Blood Glucose levels neutral

Remember it is not only challenging for you but your kid as well. All that your kid needs is ‘’your Support and Care’’

Bring your child in comfort with you and make them feel, they are as normal as you are!
