Whenever
there is loss of teeth it seems very difficult to manage while eating and
speaking. Also, not good to look at. Advancement in the field of Dentistry has
gifted ‘Dentures’ as a right alternative for missed tooth.
There
are 2 types of Dentures:
1) Complete Dentures 2) Partial Dentures.
When all the
true teeth are lost then complete
dentures are applied.
When only a
few teeth in the upper or lower jaw are lost then it’s the role of partial dentures. Nowadays the dentures also
come with a natural look so that the originality is sustained.
The
other category of Dentures is 1) conventional 2) immediate 3) over denture
Conventional dentures are those that are applied 12 weeks
after the removal of teeth and after soft tissue recovery.
 Immediate
dentures are fixed on the same day of extraction but may be refitted once
the jaw tissues are healed completely.
Over dentures are those that are fitted on the
natural teeth itself so as to, maintain the stability of your jaw bone.
