October is breast cancer awareness
month. New research finding’s to prevent risk for breast cancer recurrence in
women findings reveal ways to help women make lifestyle changes to reduce the risk
of relapse.
What
is the new research about NSAIDs Shows?
According to new research done between
obese women fighting for Breast Cancer shows reduce
chances of recurrence with regular use of NSAIDs.
The study observed between 440
overweight women of Breast Cancer. Women taking painkillers have less chances
of recurrence as study revealed.
Average Body Mass Index (BMI) 30 and
above are considered as obese.
Scientist found 52% reduced rate for recurrence and delayed recurrence by 28th
month if they were taking daily painkillers.
How
could Painkillers (NSAIDs) help to prevent recurrence?
As we
all know painkillers have anti inflammatory properties. Obese women who are on
hormone therapy have worst response as obesity may induce inflammation. With
the help of NSAIDs inflammation might be less and hormones therapy well
tolerated amongst women.
Obesity
is major cause for recurrence of Breast Cancer as it is an inflammatory
condition. So daily painkillers help in reducing recurrence of breast cancerin
obese women.
Preventive
measures need to be taken to lessen the breast cancer chances in women .We have
to adapt some lifestyle changes like more physical activity to lower the risk
of recurrence.
As it
is not possible to tell all women to exercise, but they can have daily
painkiller tablet. Now we can prevent recurrence of breast cancer .
