Hanging around with peers in pizza joint – DIABETES can come knocking




The younger lot especially teen students and the office crowd are very fond of eateries like Pizzas and Burgers. Eating out has been a major reason for obesity and Diabetes today. If you ask why then here is the answer

20 years back the delicacies and savories were in a smaller share. And now the portions of food stuffs have grown to large and extra large paving way for metabolic disorders like the above.



Let’s have a look at the changes of quantity of food.

  • 20 years back a plate of Pizza was about 200 calories and now it’s more than 600 calories because of extravagant dipping, double layered cheese and processed super spicy way.
  • Sodas and energy drinks contained only 50 calories before. now with artificial sweeteners and increased soda content it is up to 250 calories
  • Baked buns and Muffins were 210 calories and now with additional chocolate syrups, layered creams and toppings, the calories have reached to 500.
  • A cup of coffee counted only 25 calories along with milk. Now it is around 350 calories due to whipped cream and strong caffeine.
  • Burgers are all time favorites which were 300 calories. Now a Big Burger measures 500 calories due to extra cheese gratings and mayonnaise.
  • A bucket of French fries has outsized from regular, to large and extra large 

      Counting on your calories is very crucial at this stage when the rate of mortality due to Diabetes is mounting like any thing. It is fancy to buy something large for a little more money but your health keeps warning you for the blunder you would be doing.
