Exercises to Prevent Osteoporosis



Osteoporosis is a disease where your bones become weak and brittle leading to frequent fractures. Especially the weight bearing joints like knee and ankle are the victim. But regular exercises can definitely avoid the circumstance. So know lets understand what those workouts to be included are.
Bones provide strength and support so it is very important to guide them from falls and fractures.



·         Jogging and running
 This helps in loosing excess calories taken enabling in burning fat. Thus there is less pressure on weight bearing joints, strengthens muscles around joints. Start with a simple walk then to brisk walking and slowly to jogging. Wear comfortable shoes, choose a companion and start the activity instantly.

·         Dancing
Includes, all forms of dancing. This works on similar principle and also brings in that positive attitude of charm as well.
  
·         Weight lifting
 Like barbells, dumbbells improves the density of your bones, enhances the ability to perform your daily task to the fullest.

·         Gymnastics
 This not only promotes bone power but also co ordination, flexibility, concentration and you can have fun too.

   Outdoor Sports
 Like foot ball, volley ball, baseball is a way of incorporating fitness at young age itself. But who said it’s only for kids and teens. Each and everybody should participate in the sport and save your bones.
