Know, Check and Protect Your Child This World Immunization Week

Immunization is one of the best ways for parents to protect their kid from serious childhood disease. Vaccinate your child according to the WHO’s recommended immunization schedule for safe, proven disease protection. Immunizations have helped to greatly improve the health of children.
The theme of World immunization week is “Know, check & protect”. Main idea behind this theme is that why your child needs to vaccinate, check whether they have all the vaccines they need, and protect them by vaccinating.

You do your best to protect your child like spending money on car seat & safety gates in home, and many other safety measures.  Why not on vaccine?

Vaccination prevents 2-3 million deaths ever year. Now not only protects the children against diseases for which vaccines have been available for many years, such as diphtheria, tetanus, polio & measles, but also against diseases such as pneumonia and rotavirus diarrhea, two of the biggest killer of children under 5.

But 1in 5 children are still missing out. In 2012 an estimated 22.6 million infants were not reached with routine immunization service. More than half of these children are live in just 3 countries- India, Indonesia & Nigeria. Inadequate supply of vaccines, lack of access health workers, and insufficient financial support is the reason. More over lack of knowledge about vaccination is main reason.

Educate yourself about importance of vaccination and vaccinate your child for safe & disease free future.
